PC49  would directly affect agriculture long term, shift North American population from urban to rural through new jobs, decrease unemployment, insure a fresh water supply in North America four  future generations.

PC49 from the Great Lakes to the Pacific along the 49th parallel, would be agricultural, irrigation, transportation, recreational waterway one mile wide, 100 feet deep, 1800 miles long, capable of accommodating the largest ships in the world, cruise, tankers, and freighters.

PC49 would pen the heartland of North America, to large ocean-going ships. This will decrease the most expensive cost associated with farming, the transportation of commodities. E.g., one bushel of wheat from North Dakota to China $1.12 per bushel drops to 0.13 cents.

The Ogallala Aquifer water levels can be replenished to historic 1904 levels.  plus PC49 will have the ability to replenish aquirfirin the   Western  States

PC49 Creates tributaries from the main channel that would have feeder and bleeder channels. The main feeder would be from the north commencing at Hudson's Bay traveling south and west to intersect with the PC49 project. This would carry global warming ice cap melt from the polar region and would affect water levels worldwide and provide a place for rising water levels to go when  global warming threats occur.

Other bleeder tributaries would also  travel south from the PC49 main channel  to Denver, Phoenix, Salt Lake, Las Vegas, Colorado River Valley, Los Angeles, all points west and Mexico.

Agriculture, industry, tourism, new cities, towns, and villages would be created  as fresh water revitalizes N America, and we once again create  a better path for Mankind on this planet.

180 nations of the United Nations would be asked to participate at $5 billion each, undertaking a joint venture agreement with a 100-year trade/peace non-aggression pact with Canada and the United States of America. Plus preferential immigration treatment when N American unemployment levels warrant.

Canada and the USA would each contribute $50 billion. All nations would benefit from increased trade and lower transportation costs. Tourists out of  Australia could see Mount Rushmore from a cruise ship that was loaded in Australia. Tractor manufacturers in Moline could ship freight direct to Israel.

This PC49  project opens up unlimited transportation possibilities not only for N America but every country in the world that would enjoy commerce at reduced transportation costs to the vast markets of N America.
